Platform Beds Go Balls Out

November 10th, 2008 by admin

This great and flexible design from Animi Causa called the FEEL seating system is probably the most unique form of a platform bed I’ve seen in awhile.  This unique furniture is really a bunch of cushioned pillow-like balls attached with elastic bands so that you can distort the thing to any shape you feel like.  For me, I would prefer the more normal looking platform beds on the market and maybe get this thing for my entertainment room.

  • Platform beds have always been popular in Europe and many parts of Asia. Now these beds are the latest rage in the US. Platform beds are close to the ground which stays cooler through the night, which is part of their appeal. Plus getting in and out of a platform bed is easier, no jumping or stairs required.

  • They are really comfortable as long as you know how to put them together sturdily. My husband and I got one from Ikea, but we are not he handiest people, and we were sleeping one night and kurplunk! the whole bed collapsed! So…. we invited his handy friend over to fix it and after it was put together the right way, it was soooo comfortable!

  • Animi Causa`s concept of design is highly unique and fashionable. This has brought about a change in the traditional furniture designing. It can be a compliment to the home decoration.

  • weird huh!
but the concept is good never thought that someone would conceptualize something like that..wow! i definitely want to purchase one

  • This is the first time I’ve seen one of these platform beds. It looks very versatile. It also looks to adhere to the contours of your body quite nicely.

I think I’m going to have to explore this be further.

    Thanks for showing it…

  • These sort of remind me of a piece from Edra. Not sure how functional these are though.

  • great looking beds, love the idea of them, but im wondering how comfortable and good they are for your back
